Blog, internet. Internet, blog.
This is a blog which, for a number of reasons, I’ve wanted to start for a long time. First, ever since I saw the Guidonian Hand depicted in my copy of Grout’s History of Western Music, I’ve thought it was a really cool image. I like the simplicity and the practicality. Who doesn’t like solfege? As for the blog, over the course of the last couple of years, it has occured to me that my friends are terribly cool and fascinating people. They are passionate about the arts and about life in general. They have interesting hobbies and intersting backgrounds and lots of interesting stories; plus they’re hilarious. I love discussing (and sometimes debating) all manner of interesting topics with these people. I hope that this blog can become a forum for those conversations so that we can share with one another and with anyone else that may stumble upon this humble blog.
